Is This For Real?

Hi guys!  Did I really graduate this past weekend?!

Well, I guess I did!

I’ve been rather busy catching up with playing and having fun with Greg’s parents.  We’re meeting up today as well before they go back home, and so I’ll let the photos do the talking. :D

Please bear with me. ;)

Okay by now, most of you should know that I love puns haha.  Oh silly me…

Can you find “Ellie”? I’m the one who looks extra cheesily happy.

I’m grateful to my parents for skipping work and coming to my grad ceremony!  I know that normally it’s a given for the parents to celebrate with their children, but like I mentioned before, they are extremely busy folks.  THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THAT YOU DO MOM AND DAD! GOD BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY WITH HIS SWEET LOVE! Don’t worry, I’ll tell them in person.

Like I mentioned in my last post, Greg’s parents (my future in-laws a.k.a. mom and dad) came all the way from Kansas to see this very special day!  They’re truly the sweetest in-laws in the world.  Well, at least to me. :)

My very good friend Emily came for the commencement and stayed the whole day with me and Greg.  We went to the beach of course–what else do you expect from a So Cal girl?

We stopped by a coffee shop near Huntington Beach and talked for a good while.

Yeah, who goes to the beach in formal attire?!  Don’t answer that.

*Sigh* Take a deep breath and soak it in…

And she was swept off her feet by her prince…

You guys, here we have paparazzi Emily trying to take every possible shot of the day plus a 100 more.  Doesn’t Greg look like he’s my guard?! Hahaha okay…maybe I’m letting my graduation get to my head now. ;)

Of course, lots of delicious eats have been consumed the past few days as well.  I once mentioned that whenever Greg’s parents are over, we eat out all the time.  However, no food-record has been taken because I didn’t want them to feel uncomfortable!

This morning I had some buckwheat pancakes but I didn’t think they were worth sharing the recipe.  Or else, no one would ever come back!

Well, at least it looks delicious!

Despite the running around I had to do, I’ve been squeezing in workouts here and there.  They consisted of bodyweight exercises and they only took me approximately 10-15 minutes.  It may seem short, but I always make sure that they are extremely intense.

The key is to keep moving even if it’s not “all-out”. Sometimes, life happens and we just need to do as much as we can with the little time we have in a day. Something is better than nothing when it comes to working out if our schedules don’t allow for longer workouts.

Do you look back at your graduation day (if you’ve done so) and reminisce?

What were some of the greatest Qs you had right after grad? Mine are, “Lord, what step should I take next?” (After all, I’ll be doing wedding preps a lot of the time.  I think a lot of things are kind of on hold, but I’m ok with that.  :) )

Grace & Peace,

Ellie <33

Your post makes me want to graduate all over again! I love this recap…you captured it perfectly. :)

And the biggest question (more so fear) I had post graduation was if I would still keep the friendships I created over the past 4 years. I found that my fears were unfounded because I’m still friends with everyone!
