Overnight Bliss

Happy Monday and good morning y’all!

What….?  Ellie posted something up this early?  Like, before 7:30 am?!  I gotta see this or I may just diiieee!

Hehehe…why yes!  Glad you pointed that out.  Since I have the interview at the school district this morning, I woke up earlier than I usually prefer to.  But, you know what I do love about early mornings?

I love the fact that it’s still dark out and I get to see the sunrise (sort of) when I open the blinds.  In today’s case, the rain!  Wheeeee!

And I totally don’t mind that I get to eat one of the best breakfasts ever!  Like this bowl of creamy and hearty overnight oats.

This bowl is filled with Coach’s Oats (the coach teaches at my school! ;) ), milk, water, chia seeds, mashed banana, frozen cherries, and a scoop of Chobani’s Greek Yogurt.  I let it sit in the fridge overnight and it was bliss indeed!

The toppings include tiny pieces of Lindt’s orange chocolate, cocoa-nut+sneaky cinnamon PB, blackberry jam, and coconut flakes.

I seriously think there is no quicker, heartier, and satisfying breakfast as overnight oats.

And do you also know what I love about early mornings?

The fact that I get to share with you my devotionals or what I read today in the Word–almost as if you were right there with me.  So grab a cup of coffee, sit back and relax.

Today’s Bible passage was not only a great reminder, but also one of the ones that I always seem to fall back on.

“The Lord is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds.  The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.  He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them.” ~Psalm 145: 17-19~

I believe that it’s such an eye opener to the truth that no matter who we are, He is right there ready to take us by the hand, just like a little girl/boy and his/her daddy.

So I hope this speaks to anyone out there in one way or another just as it did to me!

I guess this is another thing I love about awaking early!  I just feel like my quiet time and discipline throughout every aspect of my life gets re-awakened as well.  It almost seems as though good habits magically happen.

Have a great day, and I may just come back later today to post some more.

Ps:  Okay I’m getting a wee bit nervous since I’m also taking an exam in English and Spanish!  Yikes

What’s your go-to breakfast on early mornings?

Why do you love waking up early?  If at all?

Love,

Ellie <33

What an inspirational devotional to start the day with! It’s funny that you mentioned yours, because the passage in my devotional really stuck out to me today too. It was about being honest in ever situation, no matter whether or not it’s a white lie and wont do any damage.

Love morning devotionals :D

Ohhh that bowl of overnight oats looks HEAVENLY indeed! My usual go-to breakfast for early mornings are usually just that- or maybe even some cereal when I’m feeling like it.

Hope you had a nice day! (Just like your morning!)

Love waking up early on weekends – my quiet time. Weekdays – not so fun ’cause I’m up at 5:00 to get ready to commute 1 hour to work – BUT I get to catch up on my Christian podcast – which helps to set the mood for the day.

ahhh that sounds torturous, yet the podcast part makes it a blessing I bet. I give you mad props for commuting for 1 hour!

I love how thick overnight oats get with chia! Also, that whole “before 7:30am” thing doesn’t really work for those of us reading from other hemispheres, dear Ellie… :P
