If I could give you a super warm hug after your feedback on my last post, I would do it within the second I saw you…Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts as I always appreciate it when people open up to me!
Well, yesterday (9/16) was Selah’s 3 month anniversary and I just cannot get over how quickly time flies. I know that you can all relate to the sense of how ephemeral everything can be in life, and we can feel that to a much higher degree when there are children around because of how they grow mentally and physically. In some ways I feel like I just gave birth to her last week, but ironically I also feel like it happened ages ago and that we’ve come a long, long way on this journey.
And we have. Allow me to share the preciousness that Selah is through some pictures! Hehe.

Out of all the mini milestones that Selah has been reaching as of late, her ability to hold up her head straight is the best one in my opinion. It seemed like she was struggling in that department due to her reluctance to do tummy time. Now, I don’t know if it’s her toes that bothered her (ingrown just like me ) whenever she lay down flat on her stomach or what, but half of the time she would be successful and the other half would be filled with desperate crying.
Because of that I didn’t want to push her too much to have tummy time, until someone suggested that I let her do it numerous times throughout the day until just before she starts to get fussy. The result has been wonderful because she now enjoys those moments, and I am one proud (and relieved) mama! Hehe.
As you can tell, I like to her dress her up quite a bit! I never thought I would be one of “those moms” since I wasn’t dressed up as a baby, nor did I like to dress up as a little girl due to my tomboy-ish ways.
Last Sunday I had this mini photo shoot with Selah right before service, and since we had some time to spare we took advantage of it. I think she’s picking up a talent for posing, don’t you agree?
Not only is it exciting to see her neck strength improving, but she’s also so stinking cute whenever she looks down at her toes. Apparently she’s finally found them and connected the fact that they belong to her. Hah!
Right after our prayer service.
Even though it can be a challenge to take care of a baby who’s constantly dependent on me, the beauty of her trusting me and thinking of me as her world is truly mind boggling. It is almost like she can’t help but have faith in me because she knows I’m there for her—and it’s a FACT to her. Kind of makes me take a deep breath and reflect on God’s goodness. He wants me to put my full trust in Him with no reservations. Just like a child. Wow, mind blowing stuff, isn’t it?!
Well my friends, I’m going to wrap this up now and I hope you have a beautiful rest of the day.
Oh and before I forget, I’m going to do my best to get on a more consistent blogging schedule. Ever since day 1 I’ve been all over the place, but it would be wonderful to set a rough schedule to write up some posts and keep it a bit less spontaneous… As of now, it seems that Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (or Sunday) work best for me. I need you to hold me accountable to this so let’s see where this goes! Also, stay tuned for some nutty goodness coming your way.
Are you/would you be one of those moms who dress up their kids like crazy?
-Haha, guilty as charged.
Do you have a blogging schedule set up? Or do you tend to go with the flow?
